Copywriting

The craft of writing words that sell. Not storytelling, persuading.

Explained simply.

Copywriting is writing designed to drive a specific action. It's the headline that makes someone click, the email that makes them open, the sales page that makes them buy. Good copy reads like one friend talking to another about something important. It doesn't sound 'written.' It feels natural, but every word is there on purpose.

An example.

'Save up to 40% on your energy bill.' is copy. 'Our innovative energy solutions empower sustainable living.' is marketing speak nobody reads. The first one sells. The second one fills space.

Why it matters.

Whatever business you're in, you'll need to write words that make someone do something. An email, a page, a text, a post. The better your copy, the cheaper every customer gets. This is the single highest-leverage skill in business.
