← Glossary Direct Response

PASTOR

Problem → Amplify → Story → Testimonial → Offer → Response. PAS for longer-form copy.

Explained simply.

PASTOR expands PAS with three critical pieces: a Story (to make the solution real and emotional), a Testimonial (to provide social proof), and a clear Response ask (so they know exactly what to do next). It's designed for longer pieces, sales letters, VSLs, webinar scripts, where you have time to build the case.

An example.

A 20-minute webinar hitting each piece: the problem (your pipeline is unpredictable), amplify (here's what it costs you), story (Sarah was in the same spot; here's what happened), testimonial (Sarah and 200 others), offer ($197 program), response ('click here now').

Why it matters.

When someone says 'write me a sales page,' this is usually the structure. PASTOR's power is the Story and Testimonial slots, those do most of the persuasion. Weak story + weak testimonial = the page doesn't work, regardless of how good the problem and offer are.
